Decision Making

Captain's Log
Stardate: 2266.79

It appears that the events that we left six months prior have returned to haunt us once again. However due to recent actions I'm forced to investigate matters of a shadowy nature that may have direct links to high officials within Starfleet Command. What's worse is the notion of placing my crew and my ship in danger. Someone once said "Risk is part of the game if you want to sit in that chair" and I feel the weight of my actions that bear heavily on my shoulders.

I wish to officially state on record that it was a mistake for the JAG officers to release Lieutenant Commander Clifford Paris. Paris may have vital information, and the notion that anyone within Starfleet is untouchable...be they Cadet 4th Class or Fleet Admiral , astounds me.

As for this organization, who are they? What goals do they hope to accomplish with their actions? Even if we find out the actual perpetrators what's to say that if they were turned over to the proper authorities that they would just receive a biased trial and a slap on the wrist?

In the meanwhile the crew are endeavoring to ascertain just whom is playing whom. I fear we won't know all the answers until we find out for ourselves.

End Log.
